Privacy Policy

Summary. Coorie does not require an account and contains no advertising or analytics. Your library is stored on your device, and optional backups are kept in your own Google Drive. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
This policy explains how the Coorie app for Android handles your information. It also applies to the coorie.tv website, which does not use analytics or tracking cookies.
Information stored on your device
Coorie stores your library on your device: the shows and movies you follow, what you have watched and when, and your settings. If you enable backups, it also stores the email address of the connected Google account, to show which account is in use. So that the app works offline, it keeps a copy of show and movie details such as titles, episodes, air dates and artwork links.
New-episode notifications are created on your device. Imported files, such as a Trakt export, are read on your device, and exported files are saved only where you choose. All of this data is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
Information we process
Show and movie information comes from TheTVDB through the Coorie API (api.coorie.tv), which we operate. When the app contacts it, the API receives:
- your device's IP address;
- the shows and movies requested, and any search terms you enter, including titles looked up when you import a file;
- a random session identifier that is not linked to your identity;
- a Google Play Integrity token, which we verify with Google to confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of Coorie obtained from Google Play.
We use this information only to provide the service and protect it from abuse. Technical logs, which may include IP addresses, requests and search terms, and the outcome of the integrity check, are kept for up to seven days.
Third-party services
Coorie relies on the following services. Each receives your IP address when the app connects to it, along with the details needed to handle the request.
- Cloudflare hosts the Coorie API and this website (privacy policy).
- TheTVDB serves posters and artwork (privacy policy).
- TVmaze provides exact air times for episodes due soon or recently released (privacy policy).
- Google handles your purchase through Google Play, performs the Play Integrity check through Google Play services and, if you enable backups, stores them in Google Drive (privacy policy). We don't receive your payment details.
Google Drive backups
Backups are optional. When enabled, Coorie saves your library, watch history and settings to a private app folder in your Google Drive. Coorie can access only the files it creates in that folder, and we cannot access your backups. Backups are updated automatically, and the three most recent are kept.
You can disconnect Google Drive in the app's settings at any time. To delete your backups, open Google Drive on the web and go to Settings → Manage apps → Coorie → Options → Delete hidden app data.
Your choices
You can export your data from the app's settings, delete your backups from Google Drive, and remove all data from your device by uninstalling the app. Other than the technical logs described above, we do not hold personal information about you.
Children
Coorie is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
